CONCEPT

I work on personal archives, my creating process starts from an intimate exposure to photos, videos, sound recordings of my ancestors or relatives of friends. I contemplate them, they talked to me. Telling our stories as roma and queer can be a counter-hegemonic practice, dismantling the official archive that makes us invisible or denigrates us. I focus on generating a multisensory experience, driving emotion, which enables a meeting place for reflection, celebration and common resistance. I believe in the romanipen, as a possibility of belonging beyond nations. In artivism as a tool.

EDUCATION
